FROM AN UNDERPRIVILEGED SITUATION TO A PROMISING FUTURE

Every story and situation is different. Bridge to Better wants to be a listening ear for migrants and think along.

This starts with:

• Giving correct information
• Offering help and advice where people get stuck in their procedure
• Provide support in substantiating distressing situations
• In addition, help to create a realistic future perspective for:
  • Pre-status holders and people who just got a status
  • Economic refugees who were not granted status and who want to prepare for an volantary, honorable return.
• An empowerment program, training & learning trajects

Our goal is to help foreigners with less prospect of a better life in the Netherlands with a sustainable start here in the Netherlands or when this is not legally possible by means of voluntary return to the country of origin.

Bridge to Better is a specialist in offering tailor-made trajectories to people who need this help and approach.

That's why we offer:

• A phase-oriented program in which the participant is informed about real opportunities, stimulated and challenged. In addition, we mediate to remove obstacles.
• A seamless connection possible to the situation of the migrant from the moment he /she enters.
• Through a personal leadership training, which focuses on personal responsibility and strengthening self-esteem, gives self-confidence and new courage.
• By coaching, strengthening their qualities and giving examples and how to use them.
• Entrepreneurial skills, communication skills and various skills training such as computer, web design and tailor-made professional training focuses on the future and possibilities.
• After research, business choice and making a business plan, an experience place helps to get a better picture of what they can do to earn a living.
• We also offer people with traumas and victims intensive guidance and psychoeducation on how to deal with their trauma and become more resilient and assertive.

Bridge to Better Future approaches the target group proactively, maps out the wishes, capacities and possibilities per individual, provides training, learning trajectories and empowerment in its training room in Amsterdam and possible locations elsewhere in the Netherlands. The program lasts 3-6 months, after which the participants get a job with participating companies and organizations or choose to set up a viable business in their home country.
